There have been many talks and discussions on MS Dhoni’s retirement, but the cricketer has repeatedly refused to clear about the same. Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli lashed out at the fans who said MS Dhoni should retire from cricket. He said that Dhoni is fit to play and he understands cricket better than anyone else. Recently, it was former Indian cricketer, Ajit Agarkar who raised a question against MS Dhoni.
Creating a storm in the cricket circle, Ajit Agarkar said that MS Dhoni should retire from cricket. Not only Agarkar, even former batsman VVS Laxman appeared to be on the same page as Agarkar on Dhoni’s T20 career. They want MS Dhoni should retire as his age is taking a toll on his cricket career.
However, when it comes to MS Dhoni, it looks like he knows how to handle these situations like a Boss. Reacting to Ajit Agarkar’s remarks, Dhoni said, “Everybody has views in life and it should be respected,” This was not all, MS Dhoni went forward saying that he finds enough motivation to play for the country every single day.
Here is what MS Dhoni said further,
“The biggest motivation is being a part of the Indian cricket team. You have seen cricketers who are not god-gifted, but even then, they have gone far. That’s because of the passion. The coaches need to find that out. Everybody doesn’t play for the country.”
For those who came late, here is what Ajit Agarkar earlier said hinting on MS Dhoni’s retirement from T20 career.
“I think India must now look at other options, at least in T20Is. In one-day cricket, they seem to be happy with the role that he is playing. When you were the captain of the side, it was different. But just as a batsman, will India miss him, I don’t think so. In T20 cricket, it is a lot easier to make that transition as there is a lot of experience in that team apart from MS Dhoni now.”
