Indigo, on Sunday, apologized to the passenger who fell off the wheelchair a day before. The incident took place when the passenger was assisted by the carrier’s staff at the Lucknow airport. This event comes after the airline had to apologize to the passenger who was manhandled at the Delhi airport. For the accident that occurred at the Lucknow airport, here is what airline said in a statement,
“We apologize to Urvashi Parikh Viren for the mishap that occurred at the Lucknow Airport yesterday at 8 pm,”

Clearing further, Indigo said that when the airline representative was pushing her wheelchair towards the arrival hall, her wheelchair got stuck in a deep crack where she lost balance and fell off. The passenger was injured and immediately taken to the doctor of the Airports Authority of India.
Here is what airline authority said,
“Our IndiGo representative was pushing her wheelchair towards the arrival hall. As he was guiding her wheelchair through a vehicular lane, which was dimly lit at that time of the night, her wheelchair got stuck in a deep crack on the tarmac and lost balance and she fell off her wheelchair.”
Indigo said that Parikh was kind enough to say that it was not a human error. Parikh said, “we should deal with the staff with empathy, when we de-brief our loader. We promised to do so.”
