Social media giant, Twitter has blamed their ex-employee who decided to deactivate Donald Trump’s account on his last day of office. The employee has been found guilty in deactivating U.S. President Donald Trump’s @realdonaldtrump Twitter account. Twitter has confirmed the news in a statement.
“We have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer-support employee who did this on the last day. We are conducting a full internal review,” Twitter said in a tweet.
Donald Trump’s Twitter account was shut down for 11 minutes but everything was restored later. Twitter is officially looking into this matter and will take proper steps to prevent this from happening further.
Since taking his position from 2016, Donald Trump is enjoying massive following on the social media platform. He has more than 41 million followers only on Instagram.
