A Hyderabad man gets the shock of his life when he opened the parcel which he had ordered from the e-commerce giant, Flipkart. Vinay, 25-year-old resident from Hyderabad had ordered DSLR from Flipkart and was shocked to see that he had received stones along with toy cameras.
Vinay who works at a private rice mill machinery manufacturing unit at the IDA (Industrial Development Area) in Uppal had placed an order for Canon EOS 700 D camera on September 4. When asked to Flipkart about this, they said that the camera worth Rs. 41,000 was shipped but Vinay got a dummy one.
Vinay kept complaining to the customer care about it and they too confirmed that the camera has been shipped. On receiving the toy cameras, Vinay decided to lodge a complaint against the Flipkart. Vinay has lodged a complaint with the LB Nagar police.
Here is what Police spoke about this incident, “On September 5 evening, Vinay received a parcel through a delivery executive. Vinay opened the parcel and found a stone along with two compact dummy cameras sold as child toys instead of the Canon DSLR camera.”
This is not the first time when people have complained about stones in their parcel. Earlier, there were customers who raised a complaint about stones, bars of soap or fake products in their parcel. Talking about the reaction of the customer care, Saidulu said, “After verifying the database, the customer service staff told Vinay that their records clearly indicate that genuine Canon DSLR camera was shipped to Vinay’s address. Vinay then contacted the delivery executive and he told him that he did not open the parcel.” He also said, “We are referring the case to Cyber Crime police of Rachakonda commissionerate.”
