The tiff between Indian team captain, Virat Kohli, and coach, Anil Kumble is trending these days. The silent war between Anil Kumble and Virat Kohli is getting murkier by every day. Kohli having “Reservations” with his style was the main reason why Kumble decided to step down. Virat Kohli was slammed after Anil Kumble stepped down from the position of the Indian cricket coach.
Now a new reason comes up which speaks why Indian cricket team started hating Anil Kumble. New reports say that Anil Kumble used to scold cricketers like kids and hence the team started hating him as a coach. Whenever the cricketers could make a mistake he would scold them like children.
Apart from other things that led to the feud between the team and the coach, Kumble’s behavior was a primary concern. Few reports also suggested that Anil Kumble used to shout the cricketers a lot and Virat Kohli was the one who was against this behavior of Anil Kumble. Virat said that such attitude towards cricketers bring a lot of insecurity and hence it should not be tolerated. However, Kumble thought discipline is the must.
Here is what the reports said, “The team members, who were feeling terrible about the loss in any case, felt that their coach was scolding them like children and not treating them like professionals. The captain, they said, is very possessive about his team in the dressing room and he was upset at the way Kumble spoke to them.”
Meanwhile, The Indian cricket team has reached Port of Spain for a limited-overs series against the West Indies. The first ODI is scheduled for June 23.
