McDonald’s have been one among the favorite food chains Indians love! From its lip-smacking burger to fries and ice cream, McDonald’s always ruled our hearts and mind. Well, if reports are to believed it is said that almost 43 McDonalds out of 55 in Delhi will shut down today.
Leaving more than 1700 people jobless today, a large number of McDonald’s will shut down permanently. This hard decision has been taken by Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt Ltd, who runs most of the McDonalds outlets not only in Delhi but throughout India. Apart from McDonald’s, Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt Ltd also runs almost 168 restaurants under its name.
There was a joint venture of Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt Ltd between McDonald’s and Vikram Bakshi. Everything went smooth and steady, as well know McDonald’s is one among the richest food chains in India. When Bakshi was removed from the position of Managing Director, Mcdonalds are moved to the International Court in London A former MD of CPRL said,
“It’s unfortunate, but operation of 43 restaurants operated by CPRL has been temporarily suspended.”
According to the reports published, the outlets are suspended because they failed to renew their health license. Here is what it was reported,
“CPRL failed to get the mandatory regulatory health licences renewed because of the infighting between Bakshi and McDonald’s.”
Well, it would be quite heartbreaking for Delhi people who are literally obsessed hogging on Burgers and snacks of McD.
