We say, India is a democratic country but can you believe if I say Indians are banned from entering few popular places in India? Yes, there are many places in India where they don’t allow its own residence to enter in if he is an Indian! So, if you aren’t aware of such places here we bring some of the places in India where Indians are banned.
1. Free Kasol Cafe
This is an Israeli cafe restaurant, located in Kasol, Himachal Pradesh known as Free Kasol. This hotel grabbed limelight after the owner of the cafe refused to serve food and drinks to the Indians. The owner of the cafe discriminated people according to nationality, and anyone other than Indians would be served in this cafe.
2. Hotel In Chennai
This was a residence of a Nawab which is now transformed into a hotel in Triplicane. This hotel doesn’t allow Indians to stay there. Local people know this hotel as a foreign residence as the owner does not give entry to Indians.
3. Uno-In Hotel
This hotel was set up in Bangalore in 2012 in order to serve the Japanese community. The hotel was introduced due to increasing number of Japanese people in the nation and hence they started the venture. However, they were very strict with the customers and did not allow Indians to enter the hotel. The hotel was shut down after two years.
4. Some of Pondicherry’s Beaches
Just like Goa, Pondicherry is also known for its beaches and it is mostly preferred by foreigners. However, in some of the Pondicherry beaches, Indians are not allowed. They are not even allowed to visit the area. These beaches observe some of the most expensive French and Indian architecture.
5. Beaches in Goa
There are some special beaches in India, where Indians are banned from coming. They justify it by saying they’re “saving beachwear-clad foreign guests from lusty gazes”.
