Smartphones are being launched in the market faster than anything else. Almost a couple of handsets are being introduced by one smartphone maker after the other. And unlike Apple and Sony, Indian smartphone makers launch at least a couple of handsets in one go. They don’t release these handsets once a year like Apple, but their launches are almost a fortnightly or monthly affair.
Micromax has launched at least two handsets in this past week. The same is true about Spice and Karbonn too. Now here comes another local smartphone vendor Intex. The company has just showcased as many as three smartphones running on Android 4.4 KitKat. The handsets come with different set of specifications and features, different sizes and obviously different price tags.
The handsets come under the company’s Aqua series. All the handsets look good and are very affordable. The trio is going to give tough fight to other smartphones available in the market at the moment. Intex Aqua Star, Aqua Star HD and Aqua Star Power are priced at Rs. 6,990, Rs. 8,690 and Rs. 7,490 respectively.
One unique selling point of the trio is the fact that the three handsets come with a unique feature that helps users take selfies with the back camera by actually hitting the volume rocker keys of the phone.
Aqua Star model is actually the cheapest and most affordable handset as it is priced at Rs. 6,990. The handset comes with 5-inch FWVGA IPS, Android 4.4.2 KitKat, 1.3 GHz quad-core Mediatek processor, 1 GB RAM, 8MP rear and 2MP front camera. The handset comes with 8 GB of internal storage with expandable option.
A higher quality Aqua handset from Intex is Intex Aqua Star HD that comes with really impressive 5-inch HD IPS display (1280 x 720 pixels). The handset comes with very good a 13 MP auto focus back camera. It also comes with 5 MP front facing camera for selfie.
The third handset that comes with an impressive battery is named Intex Aqua Star Power. The handset that comes with 12 hours of 3G talktime along with 15 days of battery life on standby is set to attract many people who are rarely happy with their smartphones battery life. The handset comes with a rather good 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display (854 x 480 pixels). It comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, 1.3 GHz quad-core Mediatek processor, 1 GB RAM, 8MP main camera and 2MP front facing camera and 8GM internal storage.
