OnePlus One rival IUNI U3 launched in Chaina

There are many smartphone manufacturers located in China and it is no wonder we keep seeing tons of devices come from there, even from brands you’ve probably never heard of. IUNI might be such a brand, this is a relatively unknown Chinese smartphone manufacturer (at least outside of China) which introduced something nobody expected last month. IUNI U3 is company’s second smartphone which they launched last month and this device is truly a beast. The device comes with a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440, 538ppi) display from Sharp along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz which you’ve all heard of by now considering tons of manufacturers use it to power their devices, great performer. 13-megapixel camera is located at the back of this thing while there’s a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter included as well. IUNI U3 comes with 3,000mAh battery and Android 4.4.4 OS is here out of the box, though there’s company’s IUNI OS placed on top of it. This is also an LTE device for those of you who were wondering. The device sports really slim bezels and is made out of a single piece of magnesium alloy while the display has a 2.5D curve to it.

This device is now finally available for purchase in China. The device costs only 1999 Yuan, which is only $320 (INR 20,000 approx), this price was already announced when the device was launched last month. This is indeed a low price, it’s actually kind of hard to believe this device costs only $320 considering its specifications and hardware build. It looks like this device might be a serious competitor to Meizu and Xiaomi if they manage to market it right. It probably won’t come even close to Xiaomi and Meizu’s sale numbers considering these are well known companies, but it might attract a lot of people considering its design, specifications and ultimately its price point. IUNI didn’t say anything about an international launch or availability, all we know is that this device currently supports only China Mobile’s 4G LTE bands. Hopefully they’ll change that and will make an international version for those of you who are interested outside of China.
